The surroundings of the guesthouse Uko offers countless numbers of opportunities to spend your leisure time in an active way. Considering the fact that the central part of the Jizera Mountains has the character of plateau, magnificent and most of all not so demanding natural complex can be found in this place. What´s more, the altitude of about 1000 m guarantees fantastic snow conditions.
Hiking and cycle tracks
The Jizera Mountains are interlaced with a dense net of foot trails for summer hiking and cycle hiking. As the majory of the Jizera skiing trail has been kept in a good condition, turists can use it the whole year round not only for cross-country skiing, but also for hiking, cycling, roller skating, etc. The Jizera hiking trail, which is the part of the project Nová Hřebenovka, is meant only for walkers.
Cross-country skiing and down-hill skiing
The Jizera Mountains have been favoured and sought by all fans of the white track. The Jizera skiing trail comprises of 100 km of mashine made and looked after tracks with 20 starting places (3 in Bedřichov) and other bases for.
Furthermore, there are 3 ski resorts nearby for downhillers: Malinovka (500 m) with 8 ski lifts and night skiing, Severák (4 km) with 10 ski lifts, Špičák in Albrechtice with ski lifts and a 4-seat cableway (7 km). In each of the ski resorts, technical ski-covering, free parking, a skiing school and a ski and snowbord equipment hire service.
Other sporting possibilities
Bedřichov offers a lot of other sports experiences. You can also visit the bowling centrum, tennis courts or a winter atraction called snowtubing. What´s more, the splendid view of the Jizera Mountains can be enjoyed from the horse seat in the close-by riding halls. The run on a bobsleigh in Janov nad Nisou (the whole year round service) or a visit in the husky farm in Josefův Důl is also an extraordinary experience. In summer time, a natural lido in Bedřichov or the dam complex in Jablonec nad Nisou (accessible from Bedřichov by bus no. 1) with several beaches are available too. Moreover, the swimming pools in Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou offer a great relaxation not only in winter time.
